The Initiative

South Africa is currently facing a potential energy shortage which in the short term could severely hamper growth for the entire economy.

The initiative aims to provide an alternative energy source to sub economic and affluent housing providing a service that will span all the LSM ranges.

With the initiative gas is provided to over 10 000 households in phases and a significant amount of businesses.  It is calculated that this will release in excess of 300 MVA of electricity back into the national grid that can be used for further economic growth.  Ensuring that electricity is available for future job creation.  The above figures quoted are only for phase 1 of the project and this would be set to grow substantially with the future phases.

The concept is to establish a number of SMME's that will operate together and form one cohesive group that will derive income from the entire value chain.

The business is broken down into various components from the bottling plant that will fill gas cylinders, deliver these to businesses and residential homes through smart technology. This will enable anyone with a smart phone to order and pay for gas through to the retailing of gas bottles via a unique concept that will allow each retailer to become an independent business (SMME) as well as fitting of gas installations and the sale and servicing of gas appliances.
